Color matching in design often evokes feelings of frustration and difficulty, especially for those who encounter such tasks frequently in their professional lives. The challenge of achieving chromatic precision can sometimes overshadow the joy of creativity.

In this context, Color Strain presents itself as a casual, time-based color matching game that incorporates a virtual career progression element. Players will engage in an array of increasingly complex color scenarios while refining their understanding of color mixing across various modes, including RGB, CMYK, and Grayscale.

How to play:

• Utilize the buttons at the bottom of the screen to adjust the respective color channels—RGB (value), CMYK (ink), and Grayscale (density)—to match the target color displayed in the center.
• A slight tolerance is allowed for inaccuracies, reducing the pressure to achieve an exact match.
• If an excessive amount of a particular channel is introduced, a warning will activate around the central color circle, providing an opportunity to reduce all channels simultaneously.
• Successful matches yield “Assist” ability points, which can be utilized to pause the timer and receive visual guidance on channel adjustments.
• A progress bar at the top indicates advancement towards new levels within your virtual design career.
• Your character's ego will grow alongside career progression; however, the rate at which you earn “Assist” points will decrease over time.
• A pause feature is also available by selecting the number counter at the top of the screen.

If players wish to customize their experience, options are available to modify the default matching algorithm for improved accuracy based on individual perception.
